1st Annual Passover Seder - April 12, 2025

Passover and the story of the Exodus have great significance for followers of Jesus. Jesus, through His sinless life, fulfilled the Law of Moses (Matthew 5:17) and therefore rightfully became the ultimate Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7; Revelation 5:12). Through Jesus’ crucifixion, where His blood was shed, eternal judgment and death “pass-over” those who believe in Him as the Messiah. Jesus was killed during Passover time so the parallel becomes obvious. The Israelites applying the blood of the lamb to their homes points to the eternal salvation made possible by applying Christ’s shed blood by faith (Romans 5:9). It was not the Israelites’ ancestry or religious performance that saved them; it was only the blood of the lamb that exempted them from death. In the same way, Jesus, the Lamb of God (John 1:29, Revelation 5:9-10) atones for the sins of His people.
